USURPERS AND BETRAYERS
12-08-2018
An enemy can kill you but
only a friend can betray you.
This
article will discuss two historical episodes of “usurpers and betrayers” and one current episode. The first is the well-known story among
Christians found in the Gospels. The
second will be an Old Testament type and shadow of the Gospel episode. The third will discuss the current
manifestation and its prophesied conclusion.
Jesus, Judas, and the High
Priests
Jesus
Christ was betrayed by Judas. Judas was
his friend but he had a different concept of the Kingdom of God and how that
Kingdom would be implemented. The
intention of Judas was to force Jesus to perform an extravagant miracle before
a large crowd so that it would be implicitly proven that He was the Messiah. After realizing his mistake Judas threw away
the silver he was given and hanged himself.
The
religious leaders (Pharisees, Sadducees, etc.) constituted the Usurpers. They most likely suspected that the miracle
working Jesus, who forgave sins, was the Messiah, but he was not the Messiah
they expected (and it can be said they still want a military general). They desired one who would be a neo-Joshua type
of military general, expelling the Romans from the land, and elevating the
Judeans (Jews) as the leaders of the known world with the rest of mankind being
their slaves. They were in favor of
world peace as long as they were at the top of the pyramid.
As
the usurpers, the religious leaders did not want Jesus to be pronounced as the
Messiah King with His meek and mild mannerisms.
This would have destroyed their leadership roles and most likely their
wealthy and lavish lifestyles. Jesus was
betrayed in the dispute over the promise of the scepter, that is, His right to
take the throne of David which was temporarily usurped by the religious leaders
of His day.
Jesus,
the Son of God or God in flesh, appeared on earth for many reasons. One of the reasons was to receive the scepter
promise as King of the Kingdom of God, which He did even though He was not
completely accepted and was later crucified.
Jesus was of the tribe of Judah.
Judah was given the kingship promise by Jacob and David was given an
additional promise that his linage would continue until the final kingship was
established. The second appearance of
Jesus will be as King of the Millennial Kingdom of God and He will also receive
the promise of the birthright of Joseph and the name Israel, which was/and will
be the mark of the birthright.
Who Is A Jew?
Many
Jews may trace their ancestry back to the nation of Judah (which included
Benjamin and Levi), and, the name “Jew” is but a shortened form of Judah.
However, the northern nation of Israel (the ten tribes separated from Judah
after the tax hike by Jeroboam, son of Solomon) were never called Jews. They were always scripturally called Israel
and sometimes referred to as Joseph. The ten tribes were never Jews in a
biblical sense, nor was Judah ever given the birthright.
When
Jacob, later named “Israel” by God, passed the birthright down to the sons of
Joseph (Ephraim and Manasseh), he also gave them the name which the angel had
given him, that is “Israel”. This name
is the identifying mark of those who inherit the birthright. Christ Himself, in His second coming, is
described as One having His robe dipped in blood (Rev. 19: 13). This is the
mark of Joseph (Gen. 37: 31), whose robe was dipped in blood by his brothers to
convince Jacob that he had been killed.
When
the kingdom was divided after the death of Solomon, the northern 10 tribes
claimed the name Israel (because Ephraim who was granted the name lived in the
north nation), while the southern tribes had to settle for the name Judah, the
dominant tribe. After this division, Israel held the birthright, while Judah
held the scepter. Still later, when Israel was taken to Assyria, the birthright
appeared to be lost, along with the so-called “lost tribes of Israel.” More
than a century after this, the southern House of Judah went into a 70-year
captivity to Babylon, and then returned in order that Jesus might be born in
Bethlehem of Judah, as Micah 5: 2 had prophesied.
David, Absalom, and
Ahithophel
The
Old Testament saga of David, Absalom, and Ahithophel is a type and shadow of
the story of Jesus, Judas, and the High Priests. The David story is an extreme example of
typology and its similarities to the betrayal of Jesus is eerily accurate in
many details.
Absalom
was a son of David. Another son
by another wife named Amnon raped the sister of Absalom (2 Sam.
13:22). For this act the hatred for Amnon by Absalom simmered for two
years, and during that time, his father (King David) appeared to do nothing to
bring Amnon to justice.
David’s
inaction concerning justice stems from his past actions where he ordered
Bathsheba to sleep with him and then sent her husband to a battle where he was
killed. God did not allow David to be
expelled from the country as the law required but said that the to-be born of
David and Bathsheba would die as a sacrificial death for David. Even though it appears that God was cruel for
this sacrificial decision – keep it mind that the child will soon be
resurrected as a glorified person and live forever. To God, death is merely a small blip in the
eternal nature of things.
Absalom
called for a family feast, and told his servants to kill Amnon at the feast.
The plot was successful (2
Sam. 13:28-33) and Amnon was killed. Absalom then fled to Geshur. After awhile Absalom then insisted that a
general named Joab go to David and intercede on his behalf. The plan worked and
Absalom was brought back into the presence of his father, David.
Soon
after his return, Absalom decided that his father was not worthy to be the
king, and he plotted to overthrow him and usurp the throne. So he asked
permission from David to go south to Hebron to "pay my vow " (2 Sam.
15:7). David granted this, but when Absalom arrived in Hebron, he
proclaimed himself king in place of David (2 Sam.
15:10). He also sent messengers to Ahithophel, David's counselor and
friend, to come and take his side. Ahithophel came and sided with Absalom. In
this way he betrayed David by helping Absalom usurp the throne.
Ahithophel,
although considered to be David’s friend and counselor was also the grandfather
of Bathsheba and he apparently never forgave David for his sin. This made him vulnerable to the temptation to
betray David, even though he was David's counselor and friend. David wrote
about Ahithophel later in Psalm 41:9, saying of him:
“Even my close friend, in whom
I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted up his heel against me”.
Jesus
quoted this verse in John 13:18, applying it prophetically to Judas, the
betrayer:
18 I do
not speak of all of you. I know the ones I have chosen, but it is that the
Scripture may be fulfilled, He who eats My bread has lifted up His heel against
Me.
David
had trusted Ahithophel, but in quoting Ps. 41:9
Jesus left out the phrase, "in whom
I trusted," because He knew that Judas would betray Him. In
knowing his future actions Jesus did not trust his friend Judas, differing from
David, who did trust his friend, Ahithophel.
Although
his son called for a fight, David refused to fight against Absalom and his men
over the throne. Instead, he meekly left Jerusalem, knowing that God would
establish His throne. With this mindset he showed the attitude of Jesus Christ,
who also refused to fight for His throne rights, even though He was the
rightful Heir to the throne.
2
Samuel 15:30-31 says: 30 And
David went up the ascent of the Mount of Olives,
and wept as he went, and his head was covered and he walked barefoot. Then all
the people who were with him each covered his head and went up weeping as they
went.
This
is the same path Jesus took when He bore the cross to the place of crucifixion.
Thus, David's experience was a prophetic pattern or type of the crucifixion?
2 Samuel 15:31 Now someone told David, saying,
Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I
pray, make the counsel of Ahithophel foolishness.
This is a Hebrew play on words. Ahithophel's name
means "my brother is foolish." I believe his name is prophetic of
Judas' attitude toward Jesus, his "brother." Judas thought Jesus was
foolish not to use his power to authenticate his calling as the Messiah and to
establish his authority in Jerusalem. Judas also disagreed with Jesus' refusal
to force the chief priests into declaring Him the Messiah. But if Jesus had
forced the issue, where would the force end? The people would then expect Him
to use violence against the Romans and take the Kingdom by force. But Jesus
would have nothing of the kind, for He intended to wait and win the hearts of
the people by love. He had no intention of destroying Roman people, for He
loved the Romans as much as the Judeans.
2 Samuel 15:32 It happened as David had come to
the top [Heb. rosh, "head"], there where he bowed [Heb. shachah,
"bow or worship"] to God.
The Hebrew word translated "top" above is rosh, which means "head."
For example, Rosh Hashana is
the "head" of the year, that is, the first day of the year, marked by
the Feast of Trumpets. John 19:17 says Jesus was crucified at the place of the
skull (Greek: kranion, from
which we get our word "cranium," head, or skull). Even as David
walked up to the summit, or "head" of the Mount of Olives, so also
did Jesus carry His cross to the same place where David worshiped God.
This was the ancient location of the sacrificial
altar where the red heifers were burned "outside the camp," whose ashes
were used to purify people as they came to worship at the temple. Jesus, of
course, fulfilled this burnt offering, as He did all the offerings. He was
crucified outside the camp (Heb.
13:11-13), and this was defined in those days as 2,000 cubits outside the
walls of Jerusalem. The top of the Mount of Olives was precisely that distance.
The place today that is presumed to be the place of the skull in Jerusalem is
not located outside the camp. That hill now looks like a skull, but
archeologists tell us that this is the result of erosion only in the past
thousand years.
Later,
when Absalom did not follow Ahithophel's advice to pursue David immediately,
Ahithophel was wise enough to know that David would eventually return to the
throne. He knew that Absalom's kingship would end, and he himself would then
have to face David's justice for the betrayal.
2 Samuel 17:23 Now when Ahithophel saw that
his counsel was not followed, he saddled his donkey and arose and went to his
home, to his city, and set his house in order, and strangled himself ; thus he
died and was buried in the grave of his father.
Thus,
Ahithophel hanged ("strangled") himself as a type of Judas who hanged
himself.
David
later returned to the throne, and Absalom was killed (2 Sam.
18:15).Thus, the revolt of Absalom, though immediately successful,
ultimately failed. This story is prophetic of the story of Jesus. The chief
priests were immediately successful in their plot to overthrow King Jesus, but
their effort will ultimately fail.
Christian Zionists and the
Current Nation of Israel
Most
Christians, particularly Christian Zionists, confuse the Jews with the
Israelites, and this causes them to believe that the Jews are Israel and that
the Jews are the inheritors of the birthright, having the right to call their
nation Israel. They assume that the state of Israel is the fulfillment of the
prophecies given to the House of Israel, not realizing that the House of Israel
was not the Jewish nation. They do not understand the distinct callings that
Israel and Judah had been given.
For
this reason, many Christians have been seduced to support the nation which took
the name Israel, and this has placed them in the collective body that is today
playing the role of Judas. Even as Judas betrayed Jesus in supporting the
Jewish leaders’ desire to usurp the throne of David, so also the modern Judas
is betraying Jesus in supporting the Jewish leaders’ desire to usurp the
birthright of Joseph and the name Israel.
Christian
Zionists, however, are willing to fund the supposed Antichrist and his system
of worship, and they are even zealous to push the world into war with Israel,
in hopes that this will force Jesus to return sooner and save the day.
Christian Zionist leaders in America are quite vocal about this. They side with
the most radical Jews they can find in order to start the Tribulation. Why?
Because they equate the start of Tribulation with the “rapture.” No matter that
they believe that millions of Jews will be slaughtered in this war. As long as
they can watch the tribulation from the safety of heaven, they care for no one
else, not even Jews. Only the “144,000” matter to them, for they believe that
only that small number will survive this tribulation (out of about 50 million
Jews in the world today).
In
other words, Christian Zionists are thinking that less than 3/10 of one percent
of the world Jews today will survive this Tribulation. So what do they do? They
pay to send more Jews into the slaughterhouse as immigrants to Israel. This
smacks of mental illness, not Christianity. Such Christians pretend to love
Jews, but in fact, by their own view of prophecy, they are “lovingly” sending
them to almost certain death.
The
second coming of Christ is a Joseph manifestation, and the conflict this time
is over the birthright. Hence, the conflict has taken a different form with new
usurpers and betrayers. The usurpers are those who actively and knowingly
oppose Christ’s claim to the throne and the birthright. The betrayers are once
again Jesus’ friends who support the usurper’s attempt to steal the birthright.
The
betrayers, then, are Christian believers. The usurpers of the birthright are
the same as those who usurped the throne of David in the first coming of
Christ. Having usurped the throne, Paul says in 2 Thess. 2: 4, “he takes his
seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.” In other words, by
refusing Christ His rightful claim to the throne, they usurped the throne.
As
for the betrayers, no longer is there a single betrayer, because the “son of
perdition” is now an entire group of people who help the usurpers. They are
called Christian Zionists, whose main goal is to help the Jews steal the
birthright and the birthright name, Israel. Both of these were given to the
sons of Joseph (not Judah).
Who
is Jesus’ “friend” today who will betray Him? Is it the Jews? No, it is Jesus’
disciples, i.e. Christian people. Specifically, it is the Christian Zionists
who are playing the role of modern Judas, and they are betraying him by siding
with those claiming the birthright who hate Jesus Christ. The birthright name
is Israel, the name given to Jacob by the angel in Gen. 32: 28, which he passed
down to the sons of Joseph (i.e. Ephraim and Manasseh (Gen. 48: 16).
In
1948 the Jews officially and nationally laid claim to the name Israel, even
though they did not represent the tribes of Joseph. Ephraim and Manasseh had
been the leading tribes of the House of Israel in the Divided Kingdom. When
Israel was deported to Assyria, Judah did not have the right to claim the name
Israel, nor did it until 1948. In doing so, they usurped the birthright of
Joseph with the help of modern Judas, i.e. the Christian Zionists. Once again,
Jesus has been betrayed in the house of His friends.
Christians
who assist the Jewish Zionists, through their lack of prophetic understanding,
betray Jesus by pushing or motivating the Jews/Khazarians/Edomites and even the
entire world toward Armageddon.
Christian
Zionists overlook or deny outright Jesus’ prophetic pronouncements in the New
Testament, where He tells us God’s real purpose for the Jews’ return. He
brought them back, not for their good, but to judge them at the scene of the
crime when they rejected and crucified the Messiah (Luke 19: 27, 28).
Luke
19:27 NET But as for these enemies of mine who did not want me
to be their king, bring them here and slaughter them in front of me!' "
In
other words, the fact that Scripture prophesied a Jewish return to Palestine
should not be taken as divine approval or that the Zionists had a right to
mistreat or expel Palestinians from their homes and farms.
Christian
Zionists, who think they are blessing the Jews by paying their way to move to
“Israel,” are actually sending them to almost certain destruction. Over and
beyond this, they are supporting those who, in times past, usurped the throne
of David and who now usurp the birthright of Joseph. This is the Judas factor
that afflicts those who do not understand the scriptures.
Fortunately
for both Jews and Christians, the prophetic viewpoint of Christian Zionists is
not true. It is not what God has in mind. These people think that Christ will
come and save Jerusalem at the last minute, after most of world Jewry has been
slaughtered. Both views are wrong. Most of
world Jewry will survive, but Jerusalem will certainly be destroyed,
as Jeremiah 19:11 prophesies, and it will never again be rebuilt. Isaiah 29:1-6 prophesies how God will lay
siege to “Ariel,” the poetic name for Jerusalem (or the city of David). Verses 5 and 6 seem to describe a nuclear
war. Such a war would certainly explain Jeremiah 19:11 that says Jerusalem will
never again be rebuilt. Nuclear fallout would render the place uninhabitable
for a very long time.

Ezekiel 38 & 39
Ezekiel
38 and 39 is understood by dispensational Christian Zionists as a future
invasion by Russia, Iran, Turkey, Libya, etc. which will be stopped by the
intervention of God Who destroys all these future invasion forces.
However,
Ezekiel 38 and 39 actually prophesies of the Zionist movement, by which the
mountains of Israel were conquered by Khazarian Jews from Russia and backed by
other crypto Jews from around the world (Iran). This invasion was crowned with
success in 1948 when the Jewish state was established.
When
the Khazarian House of Togarmah converted to Judaism, these people of Turkish
origin became crypto Jews. They had never been Israelites by ethnicity, but by
adopting Old Covenant Judaism, they did become Jews in the same manner that so
many have done in the past. However,
they had no right to call their state Israel. By doing this they literally
stole the birthright promise that will be taken away from them at the return of
Jesus Christ. This subterfuge has served
to hide the fulfillment of Ezekiel’s prophecy and to create the perception of
danger from a Russian invasion. In fact, the invasion has already taken place,
and all that remains is for the Zionist experiment to end in disaster.
The
Jewish Rothschilds worked hard to take control of the beast system in its final
“banking” phase from 1815-2014. Their success only ensures their destruction
when God judges the beast. When the Zionist movement succeeded in establishing
a Jewish state, a national entity emerged that served as a focal point for this
judgment.
