Israel and Deluded Theology

Israel and Deluded Theology

When the land of Palestine became the new nation of Israel most evangelical and fundamental Protestants in the USA immediately declared the new nation to be a miracle of the workings of God.  It was viewed as the fulfillment of the regathering of Israel into the Promised Land. They further declared that the war which broke out in 1948 was the beginning of the Great Tribulation, the Antichrist would soon appear, the Jews would be saved from destruction by Jesus’ return at the last minute, and they would then be converted and preach the Gospel to the world.
Of course this did not happen:  with no mass conversion to Christianity; no appearance of Antichrist; and the failure of the return of the Lord. There were too many prophecies these preachers did not understand or simply did not believe.

The vast majority of evangelical Christianity immediately pronounced this to be the beginning of a seven-year countdown toward the second coming of Christ and the “great tribulation.”  None of this occurred, however God was beginning a new episode to bring all things to a climax of history just not in the manner prophecy buffs believe.

Fruit
Jesus had much to say about fruit bearing trees and most people consider these sayings as reference to individual people i.e. those doing the Lord’s work have good fruit and the unrighteous have bad fruit, which is an agreeable understanding.

Matthew 3:10 NET  Even now the ax is laid at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.

Matthew 7:19 NET  Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

However, what if Jesus was not merely referring to people as individuals, but the entire nation of unbelieving or rejecting Judea (Idumea)?  No one, on the face of the earth, at any time, has experienced a more awe-inspiring evangelistic gospel message than the one delivered by Jesus, the Son of God in the flesh-in person, to the people of Judea (Idumea).  The priests, Sadducees, Pharisees, lawyers, and the majority of the country side rejected the Son of God and refused to believe His message and act upon it.  They were the BAD FRUIT and they were prophesied to be cut down and thrown into the fire.  They are the fig tree that never produced fruit and will never do so.  This cutting down and burning was partially accomplished in 70 AD when the Roman army destroyed the temple of Herod and the city of Jerusalem.

As previously written in Israel is Edom: Part 1 and The Dominion of Esau which is Part 2 where it can be noted the Edomites were integrated into the Jewish culture around 125 BC.  The modern nation of Israel is not a fulfilled prophesy to Judahites (Jews) by God but rather a fulfilled promise by God through a prophetic blessing to Esau through Isaac.  The modern nation of Israel is a long-awaited promise to Esau that he would receive the dominion mandate of the land of Canaan for a period of time.  This did not happen when Esau was alive but occurred in 1948 when the new nation of Israel was declared.

The ancestral Jews have no legal right before God to reclaim the land of Canaan as their home country.  Unless they repent and follow Jesus, their destiny is to be destroyed by fire (prior to the resurrection, this will be real fire not the lake of fire).  The Edomites and the partial Edomites have been given the dominion promise for a while.

In the 1940’s, various Jewish organizations in Europe (particularly England) felt they were the ones called to establish the dominion in Canaan.  They wanted control over Palestine and the city of Jerusalem like in the days of Jesus but this time they would be in control with no Rome working against them. Working in high-level political circles in Great Britain, and in outright terrorist and criminal organizations in Palestine, they finally succeeded in getting Britain to put the whole question to the United Nations in 1947. The United Nations passed its Palestinian Resolution on November 29, 1947, and Britain resolved to withdraw fully within a few years. However, the Jewish terrorists (the Palmah, Irgun, and Stern gangs) continued to kill British policemen, diplomats, and even ordinary citizens, and so in May, 1948, Great Britain decided to leave at once.

The Jewish terrorists immediately declared the establishment of an independent State of Israel on May 14, 1948. President Truman was the first to telephone them to recognize the new state. The former terrorists now became Israeli statesmen, dedicated to eradicating the Arab terrorists who would arise next.

Dr. Stephen Jones:  Secrets of Time
In May of 1948, the British pulled out, and the Jewish terrorists became the statesmen of the new Israeli government. It is amazing how political success can transform men from murderers to heroes, even in the eyes of Christians. At that time, thousands of prophecy preachers proclaimed that God’s “time clock” had begun once more. It was widely believed that the end would come within seven years, or perhaps as early as three and a half years. When nothing happened, the Church had an entire omelet on its face, but instead of discarding a disproven theory, they simply continued to wait for the Jews to accept Jesus as the Messiah, insisting “it will happen any day now”.

Israel and Esau
As covered in the Birthright Series:  The Complete Birthright  the 10 tribes called the nation of northern Israel were conquered and deported by the Assyrians (c. 740 BC).  Through various indicators these tribes of Israel eventually moved northwest into Europe, particularly western or northern Europe.  It is concluded by H.W. Armstrong and Dr. Stephen Jones that the majority of the tribe of Ephraim concluded their migration in the area of Great Britain.  As noted above, Britain gave the Jews the nation, or Biblically speaking, Joseph, son of Jacob, through Ephraim gave the dominion back to Esau, as well as a number of so-called Jews.

Very few people living today, over the age of 60 know or remember very little about the creation of the nation of Israel unless they have done some study on the subject.  Most under 60 know even less and most of them don’t want to know anything.  The history of the Jews has been rewritten and mostly Jews rewrite the history.  They protect themselves by infiltrating various governments and getting “hate” laws or “antisemitism” laws established to make it a crime punishable by imprisonment for making an unfavorable comment concerning their actions.

It must be understood that current Israel is not the birthright holder.  Other than a possible few strays, the ten tribes of Israel are not in this nation and do not call themselves Jews.  The Jews are enemies of God; they are the bad fruit; the dominion was only given to the descendants of Esau due to a promise of God; they will never heal the birthright breach.  The two sticks of Ezekiel 37, with the names of Israel and Judah will not be joined until the return of Jesus as also will the dry bones.

The Landowner’s Vineyard
Many current Bible teachers and Theologians believe and teach that Israel will eventually repent and bring forth the fruit as spoken by Jesus.  However, they must have failed to read Matthew 21:41-43.  Jesus said the He would “utterly destroy these evil men”.  Later He says the Kingdom of God will be taken from you (the Jews He was talking with) and given to people who will produce fruit.

Matthew 21:41-43 NET  They said to him, "He will utterly destroy those evil men! Then he will lease the vineyard to other tenants who will give him his portion at the harvest."  (42)  Jesus said to them, "Have the cornerstone. This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes'?  (43)  you never read in the scriptures: 'The stone the builders rejected has become For this reason I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.

The message of the parable completely disputes and negates this thought of certain Bible teachers.  None of them will ever bare fruit:  not the Jews; not the Edomites; nor the Khazars.  They will be destroyed along with Jerusalem and the few of us desiring to understand prophecy must reexamine the scriptures, particularly the last day’s prophecies with the actual facts in mind.

Dispensational Doctrine
The most popular doctrine of current Bible Teachers who write books and videos for profit, give lectures for money, and have prophecy radio shows and web sites dedicated to current events and their relation to end-times prophetic events is pre-millennial, pre-tribulation rapture, dispensationalism.  From my readings it is apparent this group of people went overboard with their doctrinal position when Israel was declared a nation in 1948.

Wikipedia “Dispensationalism”:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dispensationalism
As a system, dispensational theology is expounded in the writings of John Nelson Darby (1800–82) and the Plymouth Brethren movement, and propagated through works such as Cyrus Scofield's Scofield Reference Bible. The dispensational theology consists of a distinctive eschatological end times perspective, as all dispensationalists hold to premillennialism and most hold to a pretribulation rapture. Dispensationalists believe that the nation of Israel is distinct from the Christian Church, and that God has yet to fulfill his promises to national Israel. These promises include the land promises, which in the future world to come result in a millennial kingdom and Third Temple where Christ, upon his return, will rule the world from Jerusalem for a thousand years.

It also appears the Dallas Theological Seminary, founded in 1924, was foremost in promoting the theological viewpoint of the nation of Israel as a miracle of God and the pivotal center of all forthcoming Bible prophecy.

Dallas Theological Seminary is known as a center of modern Dispensational teaching due to Dr. Chafer's development of a systematic theology which approaches the Bible with a "premillennial, dispensational interpretation of the Scriptures." His eight-volume work describing this approach to theology, Systematic Theology, was first published in 1948 and is still a required textbook for some courses at DTS.

Dr. Stephen Jones:  Secrets of Time
Since 1948, the Israelis have been putting on a great show of righteousness. They have exploited the Dispensationalist beliefs to boost the tourist dollars and to fan the flames of prophetic fervor. The tree has come back to life and produced more leaves than it ever had in Jesus’ day. But what good is a tree that produces no fruit? Worse yet, what should be done to a tree that promises fruit, but comes up empty year after year? The answer is found in the basic message of John the baptist, found in Luke 3: 7-9.

Luke 3:7-9 NET  So John said to the crowds that came out to be baptized by him, "You offspring of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?  (8)  Therefore produce fruit that proves your repentance, and don't begin to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I tell you that God can raise up children for Abraham from these stones!  (9)  Even now the ax is laid at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire."

Due to the transfer of the dominion to Esau and the Edomites, the Jews, including the Edomites and Khazars were given another opportunity to bear fruit.  They are intelligent people with many leaves but no fruit, even with fertilizer.  It will eventually be cut down.

Luke 13:7-9 NET  So he said to the worker who tended the vineyard, 'For three years now, I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree, and each time I inspect it I find none. Cut it down! Why should it continue to deplete the soil?'  (8)  But the worker answered him, 'Sir, leave it alone this year too, until I dig around it and put fertilizer on it.  (9)  Then if it bears fruit next year, very well, but if not, you can cut it down.'
