The Dominion of Esau: Israel is Edom - Part 2

ISRAEL IS EDOM – PART 2

Esau aka Edom aka Jews
Jews— or some branch of them— became the only people remaining to fulfill Isaac’s blessing and the Zionist prophecies of Edom (which is Esau for be given the dominion blessing for a while). These will be known by their character, and the manifestation of their Zionistic methods. We would expect Edom’s Zionism to be fulfilled by violence, theft, and bloodshed which is also the way of modern Jews. In contrast, we would expect the true, godly Zionism of Israel (Joseph) to be fulfilled by peace, righteousness, and justice that would be a blessing to all families of the earth.  The modern nation of Israel is ruled by Edomites calling themselves Jews.

The Jewish nation of Israel, that is, those who adhere to some form of Judaism and reject Jesus Christ— is the only modern nation that can fulfill the prophecies of Edom. In incorporating Edom into the nation of Judea and its religious system by the Maccabees, the inbred Jews became the heirs of both sets of prophecies— prophecies of Judah as well as the prophecies about Edom.

Herod the Edomite
King Herod was half Idumean and half Judean. His father, Antipater, had been captured by Idumeans while he was still young and had been raised in Idumea. He later married an Idumean girl, Herod’s mother.  In the first advent of Jesus Christ, King Herod was His rival for the throne. For this reason, Herod attempted to kill Jesus by slaughtering the children of Bethlehem shortly after He was born. This past generation has seen the revival of child murder once again in the form of legalized abortion, under the governmental prodding and plotting of the Jews.

Herod took the throne as King of the Jews and began the Idumean or Edomite dynasty, which ruled Judea for a century until the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.

The Beast Spares Edom
Daniel 11 summarizes various conquests of the beast/antichrist around modern Israel.  Notice in verse 41 the areas associated with Biblical Edom conveniently escape assault:  Edom; Moab; and Ammon.  Perhaps it is just a coincidence (not really).

Daniel 11:41 KJV  He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

The Yoke of Iron
God tells the Hebrews before they enter Canaan the penalty to be laid on them if they fail to keep His laws and commandments and descend into idolatry and the worship of false “gods”.

Deuteronomy 28:45 KJV  Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:

Powerful nations will be sent against them and they will suffer dire consequences which will be called the “yoke of iron”.

Deuteronomy 28:48 KJV  Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.

The ten tribes of northern Israel began their nationhood worshipping golden calves and many other idolatries.  They were known as the wife of God, but God divorced them and sent Assyria to destroy their cities, kill many of them, and deport the remainder to northeast Assyria around the Caspian Sea.

The southern nation of Judah soon was called a worst offender than Israel.  Eventually Babylon was sent by God to utterly destroy them in three different instances.  The city of Jerusalem and the temple of Solomon were destroyed; many people were slaughtered; and the remainder were deported to Babylon for 70 years.  After the decree of Cyrus many returned and others were satisfied in Babylon and stayed behind.

Although allowed to rebuild the city and temple, the returnees remained a vassal province of Babylon.  When Babylon was overthrown by Persia they became a vassal province of the Persian Empire.  Alexander the Great left them intact after viewing the prophecies of Daniel concerning Greece.  The Greeks overthrew the Persian Empire and shortly after Alexander died and the kingdom was divided among four of his generals.  Judah was ruled by either the Ptolemy’s or the Seleucid’s for many years until the Maccabean uprising finally ended various Greek rules only to be replaced by Roman imperialism.

It was during the Maccabean rule the Edomites were conquered and allowed to become circumcised; practice the Judaic religion; and essentially be considered Jews.

The Jewish Encyclopedia, 1925 edition:  Judas Maccabeus conquered their territory for a time (B.C. 163; Ant. Xii, 8 par. 1, 2). They were again subdued by John Hyrcanus (c. 125 B.C.) by whom they were forced to observe Jewish rites and laws (ib. 9, par. 1; xiv. 4, par. 4). They were then incorporated with the Jewish nation, and their country was called by the Greeks and Romans ‘Idumea’ (Mark iii. 8; Ptolemy, Geography v. 16). With Antipater began the Idumean dynasty that ruled over Judea till its conquest by the Romans. Immediately before the siege of Jerusalem 20,000 Idumeans, under the leadership of John, Simeon, Phinehas, and Jacob, appeared before Jerusalem to fight in behalf of the zealots who were besieged in the Temple (Josephus, B.J. iv. 4, par. 5).  From this time the Idumeans ceased to be a separate people.

The Hasmonean dynasty only survived a short period until the Romans moved in making Judea or Idumea a Roman vassal province.

When the Judeans returned to Jerusalem from Babylon their iron yoke became more of a wooden yoke.  Although having a certain amount of independence they continued to be ruled by foreign powers.  They never seemed to understand the iron yoke principle Deuteronomy 28 and refused to repent and trust God.  They were determined to take matters into their own hands, which was the law of the sword, without understanding why God would not support their actions and they are the same today.

The Messiah, Jesus, appeared on the scene but the Judean leadership were not interested in a Man of Peace.  They expected and required God to send a warrior, drive away the Romans and return the dominion.  John the Baptist preached “repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand”.  The good fruit (figs) listened and repented but the bad figs had John executed.  At his execution Jesus began to preach, “repent, and follow Me”.  Some did, but the majority wanted no part of meekness and “turning the other cheek” so Jesus was crucified.

The Jews of today can only find salvation in Jesus Christ, the same as everyone else in the world.  Until they repent of their thoughts concerning Jesus and the sin of their ancestor’s crucifixion of Jesus to regain the dominion for themselves without repentance from idolatry.  Their use of the sword to regain that dominion without the need of Jesus portrays their actions will only result in the events written in the book of the Revelation.

The Ark of the Covenant was originally housed in Shiloh, but the presence of God left that place due to the sins of the sons of Eli.

Jeremiah 26:6 KJV  Then will I make this house like Shiloh, and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.

Ezekiel saw the presence of God leave the temple built by Solomon from Jerusalem, never to return.  The presence did not inhabit the new post-Babylon temple, nor was the presence abiding in the temple built by Herod.  The death and resurrection of Jesus forever foresaw the presence of God being in a brick and stone temple built by Jews.  The believer(s) is now the temple of God.  The presence inhabiting a new temple will only be that of the beast/antichrist.

Summary
The Jews of modern Israel and their political sidekicks in Europe and the USA are a mixture of Judeans and Edomite partial breeds.  The Jews were driven from Jerusalem and Judea (Idumea) by God through the Roman military.  They were driven out with an iron yoke around their neck until they repent and turn to the Messiah Jesus they rejected and crucified.

The Judeans have no right before God to live in Israel and Jerusalem.  However, the Edomites were to be granted the dominion blessing for a time.  Recall that Jacob disguised himself as Esau and came to his blind father to trick Isaac into giving him the dominion blessing and it worked.  Esau was apparently not interested in the birthright blessing because he sold it to Jacob for a bowl of soup, but the dominion blessing was another issue.  The discovery of Jacob’s trickery caused great distress for Esau and he cried for Isaac to give him a blessing as well.  Guided by the will of God, Isaac gave Esau a blessing that is also a prophecy.

Genesis 27:39-40 KJV  And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above;  (40)  And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.

Although God intended for Jacob to have the dominion blessing, he and Rebekkah did not wait for God to act and intervened without faith.  Through Isaac, God informed Esau the dominion blessing would be returned to his people for a time.  Although many attempts were made by the Edomites throughout Old Testament history to regain the land of Canaan without success, the time finally arrived in 1948.  The modern nation of Israel is not God’s blessing on the Judahites but God’s promise to return the dominion to Esau for a time. The Jews will never heal the breath – they seem to be more interested in eliminating the northern deported half of the breach.

The Edomite Pharisees and Sadducees immigrated to parts of Europe with their Babylonian Talmud, Kabbalah, and other extra-Biblical writings.  Jesus had many complaints regarding the religious leaders of His day.  His complaints would be even greater today.
