IS THERE
REALLY A CREATOR GOD?
Is there really a God who created the universe? If not (i.e. no God of creation), what is the
alternative? Could it be the universe
created itself or has it always existed, with both options within this sentence
being even more unbelievable or inconceivable than an atheist’ view of “there
is no God”? However, this is the
mindset of many scientists and atheists.
Yes, it is difficult for many to believe that a dimensional
Power known as God actually exists, has always existed, and will continue to
exist. And that this God created the
universe and all matter including a planet with water, breathable oxygen, a sun
that supplies just the right amount of heat, along with plants, animals, and
humans.
Others find it just as difficult, if not more so, to believe
that matter, along with the universe, has always existed with no creator or
justifiable purpose; that life, of any kind, just happened to mutate from amino
acids, happenstance DNA, and other mind boggling incidents and circumstances. As one commentator said, “Can everything be
created by nothing?”
The Big
Bang
The generally accepted theory of the creation or beginning of
the cosmos is called “The Big Bang Theory”.
The definition of the “big bang” is given below along with a definition
of a required singularity for this theory.
The small gravitational singularity that is mentioned also requires this
condensed matter to have always existed or it just miraculously appeared and
scientists do not believe in miracles.
What Is the Big Bang Theory?
By Elizabeth Howell, Space.com Contributor | November 7, 2017
The Big Bang Theory is the leading
explanation about how the universe began. At its simplest, it says the universe
as we know it started with a small singularity
(see below), then inflated over the next 13.8 billion years to the cosmos
that we know today.
Because current instruments don't
allow astronomers to peer back at the universe's birth, much of what we
understand about the Big Bang Theory comes from mathematical formulas and
models.
Definition of Singularity (in physics): a point or
region in space time in which gravitational forces cause matter to have an
infinite density.
Evolution
The “theory” of evolution or the study of evolution is a
voluminous and complicated subject. Many
books have been written about the issue.
If someone actually seriously and deeply thought about the subject it
will be found to be a mind-bending and inconceivable process that could not
possibly have occurred.
The creation of a single cell to several cells, to moving
parts, to a frog, to a mammal, to a human being would require exponentially billions
upon billions of mutations to achieve the final goal. Today, it is said that no known mutations are
helpful but only debilitating or deadly.
The time required would also require exponentially billions upon
billions of years to complete the process which is why a time span for life on
Earth of 6,000 years is mocked and ridiculed even by most professing Christians
(i.e. after all, look at the dinosaur bones).
According to the Eye Institute the eye is one of the
most complex organisms in the human body, second only to the brain. Despite being
only just over two centimeters in diameter, human eyes have over 2 million
moving parts. They can distinguish over 500 shades of grey, and over 2.7
million colors. Can you imagine the
number of mutations required to produce an eye, even a frog’s eye? – and the
eye is merely one component of a living animal.
Survival of
the Fittest
This theory was inspired by the principle of natural selection, postulating
that those who are eliminated in the struggle for existence are the unfit. This phrase was invented by Herbert
Spencer in Principles of Biology (1864) to describe
Charles Darwin's theory of natural selection of living species.
As an
Example: There are several
million amoebas swimming in a swampy body of water within prehistoric
Africa. One of them processes a mutation
resembling an appendage protruding from its cellular body which is presumed to
eventually become a working leg. Does
this appendage create a more powerful and survivable amoeba? Not at all (in my opinion). Will this mutated growth allow this certain transformed
amoeba to dominate and eventually fill the swamp with amoebas with an
appendage? It appears unlikely.
The initial vestige of an eye, an ear, a nerve, or a lung
that does not function or work does not benefit the mutant. The list can continue.
How about the concept that extraterrestrials seeded planet
Earth with life? Does that solve the discussed
problem? No, it merely moves the
creation of life from Earth to another part of the universe.
Conclusion
For people who refuse to accept the existence of God as
creator, it would appear that the theory of evolution and its various
ramifications is the best answer that can be put forth for argument. There is no transitional species for
evidence, only fossils of perfectly formed animals, fish, birds, and plants. There are scant remains of various types of
humans. It appears that paleontologists
can take a few fossil bones and create a picture of some Cro-Magnon (or other
sub-human type) individual complete with facial features, hair and skin color,
and other features that must be imagined because they are not present in the
fossil. These images are then passed off
as authentic and most everyone believes in their truth.
If someone is truly interested in the evaluation of
evolutionary tactics, several sources can be found. However, it is my opinion the actual truth
will only be revealed within sources written and compiled by Christian authors
that do not accept the evolution standard.
Evolution is a belief system that cannot be disproved to the
evolutionist. No amount of facts or explanations will ever convince them
otherwise (or at least that is my opinion).
