The Kings of The East - Russia & China

THE KINGS OF THE EAST - Russia & China

Revelation 16:12 KJV  And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

The purpose of the Kings of the East are actually never revealed in the text of the scripture.  The following verse, 16:13, describes three froglike demonic entities emerging from the mouths of the dragon, beast, and false prophet with the purpose of gathering the kings of the earth for the battle of that great day of God Almighty.  The site of the battle is later identified as Armageddon (Har-Megiddon) which is a valley north of Jerusalem but which has been shown by other theologians to most likely be the Mount of Olives as prophesied by Zechariah.  According to Zechariah, the feet of Christ will stand upon the Mount of Olives causing it to split or separate towards the east and west.  There is actually no mountain in or around the plain of Meggido (also referred to as Esdraelon).

Zechariah 14:4 KJV  And his feet shall stand in that day upon Esdraelon mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

Revelation and the Old Testament Prophets
During my several years of last-days research, I have noticed the correlation of the Revelation prophecies and those of the Old Testament prophets.  It could be said that John’s Revelation is an orderly synthesis of OT prophecies which can be found scattered around in various prophetic books.  The “Kings of the East” statement is not accompanied by a description of purpose or intent in the Revelation, but there is quite a bit of information that can be comprehended and understood from the book of Daniel.

The seventeenth and eighteenth chapters of the Revelation reveals and describes the fall and destruction of Mystery Babylon.  It is my contention that the original Babylon is a type and shadow of the last days Mystery Babylon.  The original Babylon was a city and the mystery version is termed “a city” but it is not an actual earthly city as many commentators and pundits have attempted to describe it.  It is the political and monetary banking system of fiat currencies that are plaguing the world and funneling the majority of the assets into the hands of a few individuals.  The last section of Revelation 16 could be an introduction to mystery, Babylon and its fall.

Daniel and the Kings of the East
During the days of Daniel the prophet and the actual city of Babylon, the kings of the East were Cyrus and Darius, the rulers of Persia and Media.  It is almost certain that Cyrus and Darius had no idea they were being used by God to conquer Babylon and that Cyrus would grant authority for the Judeans to return to Israel, rebuild the city, the wall, and the temple in preparation for the birth of the Messiah.

Cyrus came to power around 550 BC.  Next, he conquered Media and Lydia and then set his sights on Babylon, which was a city and an empire.  The city of Babylon was built on both sides of the Euphrates river which made it necessary for people to ferry across the river to perform business in the other half.  It became apparent to the rulers that a bridge was needed to connect the two halves of the city.  The first preparatory work was a 47 mile circumference basin north of Babylon.  Large stones were prepared for the bridge building.  Then a canal was dug upstream from the river to the basin, and the water was diverted so that the bridge stones could be set in a dry river bed.  When the bridge was finished the canal was closed up allowing the river to again flow through its bed and between the city.

It is written that Cyrus and Darius had little success when they first arrived to siege the city of Babylon.  Then someone came up with an ingenious idea.  Cyrus put his warriors at each end of the city along the river where there were openings at the base of the wall that allowed the river to flow through the walls and the city.  The non-soldiers were taken to the lake, which was now a marsh, and reopened the bypass canal which lowered the river level to somewhat over knee deep.  The army was then able to enter the city with a minimum of conflict and conquer it with virtually no loss of life.

Dr. Stephen Jones - Modern Babylon, of course, is no longer a single city, but a worldwide economic and political system. As such, it no longer requires the Euphrates River as its life blood. Modern Babylon’s “Euphrates” is its banking system. The river banks of the Euphrates are now the banks that hold money that is also called “liquidity.”

The army of Cyrus dried up the river Euphrates and conquered the city of Babylon without hardly creating a fuss.  Mystery, Babylon is no longer a single city although scripture portrays it as a city which was obtained several candidates over the years, such as:  Rome, Jerusalem, New York City, Mecca, and likely others I have overlooked or forgotten.

Conclusion
The ancient “kings of the East” were Persia and Media.  The modern “kings of the East” would be Russia and China.  The Persian army literally dried up the Euphrates River and the soldiers physically conquered Babylon using actual manpower.

During one of the final episodes of the end times (Revelation 16), will the Euphrates literally be dried up?  No, I believe it is just a symbolic fulfillment of the typology of Daniel.  Will be Russians and the Chinese march an invasion force across the Euphrates?  No, it would be a good setup to get nuked and I doubt that will ever happen.  Please don’t confuse Revelation 16, 17, and 18 with Revelation 13 which describes the sixth trumpet.  There won’t be 200 million Chinese troops marching into Israel regardless of what Hal Lindsey and his minions portray.

So by what means will the modern “kings of the East” destroy the current worldwide banking system?  Of course, the majority of the banking cartel may destroy itself through massive debt caused by greediness.  China and Russia are now setting up a system of trade payment that bypasses the Bretton Woods petroleum dollar.  Having recently purchased a huge amount of gold, China is establishing a gold backed currency system.  Many countries have bought into this plan, although not the USA.

According to Benjamin Fulford, and a few others (probably parroting Fulford), a group of Chinese billionaires known by the name of “the White Dragon Society” is attempting to peacefully change the world for the good side.  This society is currently offering to give (or perhaps loan) large amounts of gold to various countries if they will transition to a gold backed currency, protect the environment, and beat their swords into plowshares.  This plan sounds somewhat similar to the Millennium Kingdom of God.  The actual truth of the above paragraph is unknown to me but it sounds good anyway.

Russia is currently assisting Syria by thwarting the country’s planned overthrow by the Horrendous Four:  USA, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey who created and armed various terrorists groups to perform their dirty work.  The USA is helping Israel by creating failed states in the Middle East so that it will later be easier for Israel to conquer their countries and expand to a “Greater Israel” similar to the Kingdom of David and Solomon when they believe the one world government will be accomplished (the only one world government will be the Kingdom of God).  The USA and Saudi Arabia also want a failed Syria so they can run a gas pipeline through Syria to Europe and bypass Russia’s pipeline.  It’s always about the money, or should I say “Mystery, Babylon in action”.

According to various internet articles Turkey’s goals are stolen Syrian crude oil transported by ISIS and sold primarily to Israel.  According to some sources, ISIS is a creation of the CIA, Senator John McCain, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and others.

Russia and China are also responsible for the creation of BRICS, the AIIB, and the SCO. The SCO is the new Shanghai Cooperation Agreement with China, Russia, and now Pakistan and India, previous long term enemies brought together at the time of the Brexit vote by a common rejection of the Cabal’s private central FIAT Banking system which they expect to fail.

There are also numerous new trade deals between many nations that are not based on the use of the now doomed US Bretton Woods Petroleum Dollar.  All these nations involved in these new banking and trade systems minus the US Petro Dollar are now forming a strong financial firewall against private Fiat western central banking.

Addendum
Some people, particularly Americans, think or believe that the fulfillment of the Revelation prophecies will be highly literal and supernatural.  If you visit Before Its News one will find a plethora of articles describing a coming asteroid storm, demonic locusts rising from hell and stinging people, a one world government ruled by a beast (antichrist) who will destroy many and force all to take a mark of some type to be able to buy or sell.  They predict 200 million horsemen to rise from the Euphrates and rampage the world.  Vast plagues, all water turned to poisonous blood, a mountain sized rock hitting the ocean from space and many other things.  Most of it sounds preposterous and if these events actually happened, it is doubtful if anyone would repent.  Of couse the pre-trib crowd think they will be “out of here” and it will all be the loser’s problem.  The online SkyWatchTV crew headed by Tom Horn produce a steady stream of this material.  I suppose it helps to sell books and gain viewers.

The Commandments of the Kingdom of God

THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD

The Kingdom of God (or Heaven) is not exactly identical as a citizen of a particular country.  As an example, a citizen of the USA can be a fine upright person obeying the laws of the land, not stealing that which isn’t theirs, and possessing a certain love for their country.  Others can be a birthright citizen, refuse to have a job but prefer to live on welfare checks, steal things they desire but don’t have, only obey laws that suit them, and prefer the government be some form other than what it has always been.

A citizen of the Kingdom of God only desires one government and leader.  The government is the essence of the Sermon on the Mount and the leader is always and only the King Jesus Christ.  Jesus did not appear to re-preach the law of Moses, He came to fulfill every jot and tittle of the law, and He accomplished that task.  At the end of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus made the following comment concerning His teaching.

So anyone who breaks one of the least of these commands and teaches others to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever obeys them and teaches others to do so will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.  (Matthew 5:19 NET)

THE COMMANDMENTS OF JESUS
Exactly what are the commandments of Jesus?  I’m glad you asked.

Blessed are the poor in spirit – (for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them)  This Greek word was often used of a beggar who was dependent on a provider. In the Old Testament this implied hope in in God only.  This does not refer to physical poverty, but one of a spiritual nature. The Kingdom citizen must recognize their personal inadequacy and their need to constantly rely on God through Jesus Christ.

Blessed are those who mourn – (for they will be comforted)  This Greek word means "loud wailing”.  The Kingdom citizen will mourn for their personal sin and be repentant.  God comforts all who believe and trust in Jesus.

Blessed are the meek – (for they will inherit the earth)  This does not mean, blessed are the sissies, but rather those who perform with their personal talents and with the means and goods at their disposal rather than constantly whine and complain.  The Greek origin implies domesticated strength, as a trained horse.  The Kingdom citizen must recognize his need for God and to direct one’s strengths to the purpose of Jesus.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness – (for they will be satisfied)  This is a present active participle describing the basic ongoing spiritual needs of mankind.  This phrase reflects a Kingdom citizen’s ongoing attitude toward God.  It means to do that which God requires.  It involves both justification and justice as well as sanctification and sanctified living.  The remainder of the scripture phrase is “for they will be satisfied.”  The word “satisfied” literally means "gorged," and was a term used of fattening cattle for market.

Blessed are the merciful – (for they will be shown mercy) The word merciful is the result of knowing God.  It is the Kingdom citizen’s ability to put one's self in another's situation and act with compassion.  “They shall receive mercy” is a future passive tense meaning, mercy is for now in this age.  It is a missing ingredient of Pharisaism then and legalism of today.

Blessed are the pure in heart – (for they will see God)  The Greek word for pure can mean either:  single-minded; focused; or cleansed.  It was used in the Old Testament for ritual washings.  The emphasis is on the heart, the center of the Kingdom citizen’s being and not the intellect or ritual religious actions.  Purity opens the spiritual eyes to view the creation of God.

Blessed are the peacemakers – (for they will be called the children of God)  This compound word only appears here.  It refers to reconciliation between God and humanity, which results in peace between persons. However, this is not a peace at any cost, but peace through repentance and faith.  The word “children” can also be used as “sons” which would be “sons of God”:  a phrase usually reserved for angels in the Old Testament but is used here to refer to any child or citizen of the Kingdom of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness – (for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them)  This refers to those who have been or continue to be persecuted by an outside source:  such as Satan, demons, or unbelievers.  This persecution can even be considered an expected reality for the Kingdom citizens in a world where the fully realized Kingdom of God is still future.  The persecution, if occurring, is due to the lifestyle and witness of the kingdom believers.

Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things about you falsely on account of Me – (Rejoice and be glad because your reward is great in heaven, for they persecuted the prophets before you in the same way)  The words “insult” and “persecute” are both aorist subjunctives which represent a possibility but with a conditional structure which showed it was a possiblility.  Versions of persecution may be possible for believers but they should not be desired or pursued.  Jesus stated that Kingdom citizens who live and witness for Him will be rejected and persecuted until the Kingdom of God is fully realized.

Matthew 5:3-12 NET  "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.  (4)  "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.  (5)  "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.  (6)  "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.  (7)  "Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.  (8)  "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.  (9)  "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God.  (10)  "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.  (11)  "Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things about you falsely on account of me.  (12)  Rejoice and be glad because your reward is great in heaven, for they persecuted the prophets before you in the same way.

Salt of the Earth
Salt is always salt unless it has undergone a chemical reaction, but then it is not salt.  It can only lose its saltiness if adulterated such as being mixed with substances other than salt.  Salt that was unusable as a preservative or flavor enhancer was absolutely useless. It was thrown on the footpaths or roof tops to form a hard top seal. Salt taken from the Dead Sea had many impurities. The people in this part of the world were accustomed to unusable salt.

Salt is a preserver and Kingdom citizens are the preserving influence of the world.  It the salt is diluted by things of the world, it is of no use but to be thrown out.  Unusable salt during the earthly days of Jesus were thrown into the street or road to kill grass and harden the pavement.

"You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its flavor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled on by people.  (Matthew 5:13 NET)

Light of the World
Light has always been a biblical metaphor of truth and healing. It was used by Jesus to describe Himself:  (John 9:5 NET)  As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world."  All Kingdom citizens are a light of the world.  The question is:  What kind of light?  If your light is hidden as under a basket, it cannot be seen and lacks usefulness.  One’s light should be open and visible to demonstrate one’s citizenship of the Kingdom.

You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill cannot be hidden. People do not light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they can see your good deeds and give honor to your Father in heaven.
(Matthew 5:14-16 NET)

Other Commandments
It has been said, “Do not murder” but Jesus proclaims the righteous will not hate, insult, or call a brother a fool.

"You have heard that it was said to an older generation, 'Do not murder,' and 'whoever murders will be subjected to judgment.' But I say to you that anyone who is angry with a brother will be subjected to judgment. And whoever insults a brother will be brought before the council, and whoever says 'Fool' will be sent to fiery hell.   (Matthew 5:21-22 NET)

It has been said, “Do not commit adultery” but Jesus proclaims one should not look at a woman with desire.

"You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to desire her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.  (Matthew 5:27-28 NET)

It has been said, “Whoever divorces his wife must give her a legal document” but Jesus proclaims that one should not divorce except for immorality.

"It was said, 'Whoever divorces his wife must give her a legal document.' But I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except for immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
(Matthew 5:31-32 NET)

It has been said, “Do not break an oath, but fulfill your vows to the Lord” but Jesus proclaims that one should not take an oath under any circumstances.  Either say “yes” or “no”.

It has been said, “An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth” but Jesus proclaims that one should not resist the evil person.

It has been said, “Love your neighbor and hate your enemy” but Jesus proclaims that one should love enemies and pray for persecutors.
