Eve...This line of thinking seems problematic to me. Even if the Ashkenazim are converts, in Judaism, anyone who converts is 100% Jewish and their previous affinities are not to be mentioned. I would think that this was professed to prevent racism and xenophobia. It doesn't matter if their ancestors inhabited the land or not. If they're Jews, the land is for them, since they've joined the peoples of Israel. Speaking ill of His people is a sin whether they're converts or not.

I'm not sure where I land on Zionism, but from my understanding, Bibi is not observant and I'm not sure that He would approve of what is going on in Gaza today. Furthermore, that was the ancient land of Philistia, not part of the land of Israel. The Palestinians should be able to live in peace unless He decides differently, as I believe should be the case for all of us.

What is also strange to me is Christians telling the Jewish peoples that they aren't interpreting the Torah correctly when they grow up learning Hebrew. No one else even knows what it says, we're all reading (mis)translations, which I believe are forbidden. You're trusting in the church and European monarchs to interpret the Word of G-d. The Jewish people did not accept him because Jesus did not fulfill prophecy. What happened to 1000 years of peace, everyone knowing and accepting the Creator, all the animals becoming docile, etc? He said not to create a new religion and that He is one. Praying to Jesus is pagan worship. We all need to repent before the G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.Tylahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01519510176842517621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7872720299363656784.post-34826481871460434002020-06-13T13:45:34.763-05:002020-06-13T13:45:34.763-05:00I agree that the term, 'Ashkenazi Jew', is...I agree that the term, 'Ashkenazi Jew', is a contradiction in terms however, I do not believe there is ample evidence that the british isles are any of the lost tribes of Israel. (My being Scotch Irish, indeed, of the house of Bailey, has moved me to research this, a lot.) I am a believer and a Law Abiding Believer at that; that is, I observe the feasts, rest on the Seventh day, and most importantly Worship God Through His Son Jesus Christ (Yeshu'a). The British Israel myth is one which is, in the final analysis, white supremacy. It's false and God does not approve of falsehood. (literally a commandment tied to bearing false witness...remember?) The Land Magog, as it were, is the area North and east of the black Sea, ending at that time, at the Caspian Sea. Togarmah, is today many of the Stan Countrys and to a lesser extent, Armenia and Kartvelia (Georgia) who literally trace their heritage to Togarmah. Herododus, Josephus and Philo all refer to the Ancient Scythians as 'Magog', The scythians Lived in what was in the 8th-11th century in the lands the Khazarians were. The Khazarians, were from Magog and the Ez. 38 Battle has not occurred yet. Genetically, BTW, the most hebrew people on thje planet (containing both J1 and J2 DNA) are some of the Kurdish tribes who still inhabit the very area the Israelites were exiled to. (northern Iraq and Syria and Southeastern Turkey.)
